Web 2.0 - How the next generation Internet is changing
Financial Services

Patrick Towell Consulting, Fresh Minds and the Centre for the Study of Financial Innovation launched their white paper on Monday 29 November 2007 at the Waterman`s Hall in the City of London.

The germ of this paper came from keynote contribution Patrick gave to the Electronic Visual Arts (EVA) 2006 London conference. Conference Co-Chair, Suzanne Keene of UCL was a challenging editor who did all those things that editors should do like pointing out omissions, inconsistencies and deadlines, whilst never nagging!

Working with the Fresh Minds and CSFI teams to turn what was trend analysis and polemic into reasoned and researched implications for the financial services sector has been a fascinating and enjoyable journey for all of us. However weird and wonderful an idea we thought up for the future, there was always someone who was already doing it now.

The research originally appeared in an article for Financial World in November 2006. You can download it here .

The full white paper is published by CSFI and available from their site.

There is an action sheet for business leaders and managers which help you think through what the impact is on your business and how you are going to respond to the opportunities and threats of Web 2.0. You can download it here .
